kulhars and development

With the advent of rustic mafia don Lalu Yadav as our raliway minister, people dont have to fight for their daily dose of humorous entertainment any more. Folks back home in India can always switch to some news channel and see the Lalu antics.

One of the most talked things about our rail mantri has been his "innovative" scheme to move to kulhars or earthen tea cups for serving tea on trains. On a personal level, I always preferred the kulhars to at least the glass cups that were served. This happened after I saw a glass cup being "washed". It is home of diseases.

On a more intersting note, I found this http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/cms.dll/html/uncomp/articleshow/767675.cms.

IIT KGP has banned the use of plastic cups in the campus and is going the eco-friendly way. IIM C is waiting to jump on to this bandwagon as well. I only hope KGP does not decide to invite Lalu ji for the next convocation ceremony.
